Exceptional Views
Enjoy a sundowner in a lounge chair by the communal pool high above Cape Town and watch the sun disappear behind Signal Hill, the city and the ocean, turning the sky red. There is simply no better way to experience Cape Town.
Being so high up in the sky feels amazingly peaceful with the bustling city at your feet.
Prices
• From ZAR 1200 in the low season
Price per night, 1-2 persons self catering, minimum stay of 2 nights.

Swimming Pool
Enjoy a sundowner in a lounge chair by the communal pool high above Cape Town and watch the sun disappear behind Signal Hill,
the city and the ocean, turning the sky red.
The swimming pool on the rooftop terrace is open until 21h00 and is the ideal place to cool off after a hot day, while taking in the breath-taking view of the city, Table Mountain and the ocean.
Table Mountain
What a privilege to have Table Mountain, one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the World, as a backdrop. It is a special spectacle when the famous table cloth moves over the mountain. If you would like to climb Table Mountain yourself I would happily recommend a guide or you can do it on your own. The 360 degree rotating cable car is also a special experience.
Signal Hill
Signal Hill, which connects Kloof Nek to Lion’s Head, in the distinctive shape of a lion’s rump, is one of the most famous spots for sundowners. Views from the 350m high summit are nothing short of spectacular, particularly at night, and picnic dinners with accompanying drinks is something of a capital pastime.
Rooftop Bar
You don’t even have to leave the building to have a good time. The rooftop bar invites you to linger. Enjoy your morning café or a sunset drink at this intimate bar.
Bo-Kaap
The colourful Bo-Kaap neighborhood has a rich and multicultural history. Formally known as the Malay Quarter, the district is rooted in Malaysian, African, Indian and Sri Lankan culture, largely a result of the descendants of the slaves who were brought over by Dutch imperialists in the 16th and 17th centuries. Today, the area is still known for its vibrant history and blending of creeds.

The V&A Waterfront is one of Africa’s most visited destinations. Situated in the oldest working harbour in South Africa, with the iconic Table Mountain as its backdrop, makes the V&A Waterfront a favourite for local and international visitors. Immerse in a wide variety of attractions and activities like sunset cruises, helicopter flights, free audio tours, or visit the award winning Two Oceans Aquarium and much more.
It’s a 10 minute walk away.
Absolutely loved my stay here. Amazing views of the city. The apartment has got all the features and feels very luxurious. With the convenience of the location – I didn’t have to travel far to get what I needed and also for my outings. Hope to be back soon and I highly recommend Sky Nest to anyone.

Information
Location & Nearby Attractions
Cape Town’s Bree Street has cemented its reputation as the culinary heart of the city. Long Street may be its hedonistic neighbour, and Kloof Street its closest rival, but Bree has comfortably established itself as one of the city’s coolest streets.
Although it’s a destination that’s built its reputation for its various restaurants – including Cape Town’s top bakery, along with award-winning and casual eateries – Bree Street is also home to boutiques, stores and various bars, which keep the drinks flowing until the early hours, albeit with a more mature twist than nearby Long Street.
Restaurants
Clarke’s Bar & Dining Room
It’s a popular remote-working destination, but transforms as the day goes on to become an ideal casual dinner and drinks venue later in the evening.
Chefs Warehouse
High-end street food doesn’t get better than what’s available at Chefs Warehouse. And in spite of its impeccable food, usually ordered as a tapas feast for two, the celebrated restaurant still represents amazing value for money.
Villa 47
The restaurant is a three-floor establishment that celebrates both Italian and broader Mediterranean cuisine. It’s also a good option for dinners with friends as the atmosphere, acoustics and decent service suit a group dynamic.
I Love the Dough
Its popularity has turned it into equal parts eatery and party destination, which might be too much for some diners, but I suggest getting there early if the focus is on the food (amazing pizza).
Culinary Tours
Get a taste of Cape Town Cullinary Tours. These small tour group experiences are designed to connect their guests with unique, local foods and the chefs who prepare them.
I have been on several of their tours, ask me for a recommendation.
Bars & Lounges
Mother’s Ruin Gin Bar
Boasting a drinks menu that’s rich in botanically-adventurous gins, this gin joint also offers cheese boards and charcuterie. Well worth checking out.
Tjing Tjing Rooftop Bar
Located on the third-floor position of a 200-year-old building in Longmarket Street, the rooftop bar at Tjing Tjing is a great spot to watch the world go by.
Hank’s Olde Irish
It’s a dimly lit bar located in the bowels of an actual church, and its original stone walls, labyrinthine layout and wide selection of whiskies and other high-end liquors make it the perfect destination for a late-night drink.
Shops
Mungo Design
Where contemporary textile design meets traditional weaving. Mungo Design is a unique textile company with the rare ability to create fabrics from the inception of design to the final product.
Missibaba and Kirsten Goss
Everything in both these neighbouring boutiques is locally designed and handmade.
Skinny laMinx
One shop that I rate highly for its locally produced fabrics and decor accessories is Skinny laMinx.
Day Trips
Hiking
Cape Town is a great city for hiking lovers. There are many incredible trails of different lengths and difficulty levels. From easy routes suitable for children to challenging hikes that require some rock climbing skills. Whether you’re after a windswept coastal wander, a mountainous hike with spectacular views, or a leisurely amble through one of the Cape’s lush nature reserves.

Guest Reviews
“I loved the view when waking up in the morning overlooking the bay of Cape Town – it is magical. The pool area was a special treat as I was able to relax in the sun during winter, this was amazing. The parking bay was such a help and the security in the building world class. This was an incredible stay in Cape Town with warm welcome and super clean, the best I have experienced to date and true gem in the city. Totally recommended to my fellow travelers, you will be lucky to stay here.”
“What a gem in the heart of Cape Town. Once the car was parked, we walked everywhere. The streets are so well lit at night with plenty of security around – we never felt safer. Wow, Gisela, your studio apartment is superb. It is so well-equipped that you have thought of everything: a coffee plunger, a lovely kitchen, super sheets, and a comfortable bed. And on the 27th floor is the bar, pool, and gym. You have terrific views of the city and Table Mountain, and on the other side, stunning views of Sea Point, Robben Island, Bo-Kaap, and Cape Quarter – all within walking distance. Thanks – we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We will certainly be back!!”
“Wonderful studio apartment, beautifully clean & comfortable with everything you need. Very convenient location & easy to get around. Spectacular views with a wonderful roof terrace, with pool & bar area. Gisela is always available & a great communicator. Building security is excellent & very efficient. Great stay, will be back.”
“I am blown away about how peaceful and quiet it is in the studio even though the skyscraper is in central Cape Town. I slept so well here and enjoy all the little luxuries which are offered by the Sky Nest. I will be back”
